Unit Won’t Turn On
Possible Causes:
  • Battery depleted
  • Power button not fully latched
Remedies:
  • Recharge the unit
  • Press the power button firmly until you hear a click
Cooking Doesn’t Heat Cookware
Possible Causes:
  • Non-magnetic or incompatible cookware
  • Unit not powered on
  • App not connected / Bluetooth range issue
  • Battery not charged
  • Unit not placed on flat surface
  • Unit requires reset
  • App requires reset
  • Unit overheated
Remedies:
  • Use ferromagnetic cookware (magnet test)
  • Press power button until a click is heard
  • Reconnect app and stay within Bluetooth range
  • Recharge the unit
  • Move Chef to a flat surface
  • Reset Chef and reconnect
  • Restart app and reconnect
  • Allow Chef to cool down
Battery Drains Quickly
Cause:
  • High power level usage
Remedy:
  • Reduce the cooking power level
Unit Shuts Off Unexpectedly
Possible Causes:
  • Over-temperature protection triggered
  • Low battery protection
  • Device out of Bluetooth range
Remedies:
  • Let Chef cool down
  • Recharge the battery
  • Move closer to the unit
App Shows “No Connection”
Possible Causes:
  • Bluetooth issue
  • Unit not powered on
  • Out of Bluetooth range
  • Battery empty
Remedies:
  • Restart app/phone and re-pair
  • Ensure power button is fully clicked
  • Move within Bluetooth range
  • Recharge the unit
LED Flashes Error Code

This indicates an internal system fault.

Remedies:
  • Check the error code listed in the app
  • If issue persists, contact Newr Support
Pan Detected but Not Heating
Possible Causes:
  • Power level too low
  • Pan misaligned
Remedies:
  • Increase power level
  • Center the pan properly
Persistent Errors After Reset
Possible Causes:
  • Firmware/software issue
  • Hardware fault
Remedies:
  • Check for firmware updates in the app
  • Contact support if issue continues
Can’t Charge Battery
Possible Causes:
  • Temperature out of safe range
  • Power supply not connected correctly
Remedies:
  • Let the unit cool or warm to normal temperature
  • Use Charging Key adapter to connect power
Over-Temp Warning
Actions:
  • Move Chef to a shaded area
  • Remove cookware
  • Allow unit to cool
  • Wait for battery temperature to normalize
Chef Not Charging With Solar Panel
Possible Causes:
  • Incorrect solar panel voltage
  • Unit not powered on
Remedies:
  • Use a 12V–36V nominal panel (max 48V DC)
  • Turn on the power switch at the bottom
